I finished another of the tutorials from Smash Magazines list of Vintage & Retro Photoshop Tutorials.
This tutorial on creating a Wicked-Worn Vintage Pop Art Design was super fun. I decided to use just the techniques to make something similar but different to the outcome of the tutorial. Great use of stock images and lots of grungey brushes, drop shadows and filtering, I really enjoyed it.
I’m going to try and list all the stock I used but there was so much!
- Paper background & paper behind text from fudgegraphics Grunge Paper set.
- Body of Tigress taken from a picture of Cyd Charisse from Netnessie.
- Tigress head from Tiger Roaring by Dominique Robert on flickr.
- Gingham pattern from Dreamstime.
- Batik pattern from ClickPopMedia on Vecteezy.
- Starburst shape from DeviantArt.
- Fonts used Headline HPLHS, Asian Dings, Electroharmonix, ChowMein, Japanapush. The last four are from DaFont.
- Brushes used Inobscuro Ink & Splatter Brushes.
Here is Part 1/35.

Wow! Awesome image. Very different, very creative!
