The new Doctor has been announced!

I’m reserving my judgement until I see this chap in action. Rather expressive with the fingers when he talks though isn’t he?

Dear True Blood Marketing Team,

Wow, you’re kind of like those over-achievers in my tutorials but way cooler.

Sincerely,

Alice

I’m way addicted to the new HBO show True Blood. It’s pretty much a vampire romance novel made into a TV show with high (also sexy) production values. After watching the first few episodes I figured that I was safe enough to not get spoiled by the official website. What I didn’t realise was the marketing team put out a whole bunch of related websites to pique people’s curiosity about the show, as a sort of viral marketing campaign.

Tru Blood website, including fake ads. “Don’t let friends drink friends”

So this is…GENIUS.

During the WGA strike Joss Whedon started writing a three part musical series for the internet. Each of the three episodes will be approximately ten minutes each.

Co-writers for the internet feature are Joss’ brothers Zack and Jed and Jed’s Fiancé Maurissa Tancharoen . The writing and shooting have been completed and the series is now in post-production.

from the Official Fan Site.

Also a summary/essay on the project and the much anticipated teaser trailer.

Joss I forgive you for Dollhouse.
