I was in Newtown the other night walking to Carriageworks on my way to see a sweet musical concerning aliens and tiki, and I spied a dude painting some street art. Turns out it’s for the 2042: Art on the Street Festival. A+++. I’m going to try and get to a free urban art tour if I can.

The Art Renewal Centre is a massive online museum of hi-res images of paintings dating back from around the Victorian period. Aside from these generous peeps being against contemporay art, they are A + and provide so many art goodies. My current banner is an image by Alphonse Mucha, a pimp of the Art Nouveau kingdom.
