Tutorial #4 Vintage Collage

I started work on this collage quite a while ago but considering recent events I guess it’s a tribute to the late, great Bettie Page.

This is the tutorial I worked from, again I used the techniques in the tutorial to make my own composition. This tutorial was fun but felt quite similar to the tutorial I worked through for Part 1 but with less grunge factor.

I used stock from heaps of places for this one, including reusing some bits from previous tutorials:

Tutorial #3 Retro Grunge Poster

This tutorial was on creating a retro grunge poster design. This is the simplest tutorial so far and very flexible. I wasn’t so keen on the design in the tutorial so I made my own logo for Sailors’ Ale using a photograph of Marilyn Munroe from Netnessie, a scroll photoshop shape from Obsidian Dawn and the Nevis Bold font.

I finished another of the tutorials from Smash Magazines list of Vintage & Retro Photoshop Tutorials.

This tutorial on creating a Wicked-Worn Vintage Pop Art Design was super fun. I decided to use just the techniques to make something similar but different to the outcome of the tutorial. Great use of stock images and lots of grungey brushes, drop shadows and filtering, I really enjoyed it.

I’m going to try and list all the stock I used but there was so much!
